Services & Fees
Therapy fees are generally based on the official fee schedule for doctors in Germany (GOÄ), which is also used by licensed medical psychotherapists. Most psychotherapists charge around €122.40 for a 50-minute session of cognitive behavioural therapy (GOP 2.8 rate).
My fees are significantly lower – see below.
My Services for Individuals, Couples & Families
Individual therapy is for people seeking support with anxiety, stress, life crises, or personal growth. You, your needs, and your goals are at the center of our work together.
Couples therapy focuses on improving communication, resolving recurring conflicts, and developing shared perspectives. In a protected setting, I help you reconnect and engage in meaningful, respectful dialogue.
Family therapy includes multiple family members to uncover dynamics, resolve tension, and strengthen understanding. The goal is to open new paths for coöperation and mutual support.
Session Duration: From Single Sessions to Retreats
We can discuss the most suitable format during our initial consultation (in person or online).
You can choose from the following options:
- Single or double sessions
- Half-day or full-day sessions
- Intensive multi-day retreats
Many clients choose full-day or multi-day retreats — especially those seeking deep, focused work or traveling from farther away. Our peaceful countryside practice has its own guesthouse and is surrounded by natural beauty — ideal for a therapeutic short break.
My Fees
Note: In most cases, fees are paid privately. Some exceptions apply – see below. Unless agreed otherwise, payment is made in cash at each session.

Information on Reimbursement of Your Psychotherapeutic Treatment by Health Insurance Companies
As a general rule, services provided by psychotherapists without health insurance approval must be paid for out of your own pocket. However, there are exceptions:
Statutory Health Insurance Companies (GKV)
Treatments by alternative practitioners for psychotherapy are generally not covered by statutory health insurance. Exceptions are rare and only in cases of proven need for therapy and simultaneous proof that no statutory medical treatment is available in the near future (“reimbursement procedure”). This procedure is complex and must be clarified with the insurance company in advance.
If you have statutory health insurance and have taken out supplementary insurance, alternative practitioner services may be reimbursable. It is important to check the maximum amount covered by your supplementary insurance. I do NOT charge according to the German Fee Schedule (GebüH) but according to the German Fee Schedule (GÖÄ). Any differences would then have to be borne by you. It may therefore be a good idea to take out such supplementary insurance BEFORE treatment begins.
Transparency note: My treatments are outside the scope of so-called “guideline psychotherapy” and are therefore not included in the benefits catalog of statutory health insurance companies. If you have any questions about billing or reimbursement, please feel free to contact me.
Private Health Insurance (PKV)
Depending on your plan, the costs may be fully or partially covered. Please check your contract terms and clarify reimbursement options with your insurance provider before starting treatment. Tip: Request written confirmation of cost coverage.
